Conservation work at Cirencester
Our Region has more than 620 historic churches, chapels and meeting houses. They are beautiful focal points in the landscape and many double up as community centres as well as places of Christian worship.
Maintaining these buildings is expensive but essential if we are to continue to enjoy them. GHCT exists to help congregations looking after Christian buildings of any denomination. We fund vital repairs to the structures, their surrounding churchyards, and the fixtures and furniture inside them. We can also help with improvements such as the provision of loos and meeting areas, and installation of better heating or lighting systems.
We help churches across Gloucestershire, South Gloucestershire and North Bristol.
An independent, non-profit organisation, GHCT raises funds through single and regular donations, legacies and the annual Ride+Stride event.
