If you have a sat nav then you might like our points of interest (POI) file containing most of the churches on our Ride+Stride database. You can download the files using the links below.

Please let us know if you try to download these onto your sat nav. We would like to know the make and model of your device and whether it worked ok or not. We can then share that information here. Experience has shown that this is not as simple as process as we would like but we will get better with more experience so please let us know how you get on!

Garmin Nuvi 2460

Some Garmins only show the 50 nearest churches after loading the single GPI file. For this device, I found it best to use the Garmin POILoader to load the 12 GPX files contained in the ZIP above. The churches were then all available when you create a planned trip by looking under the Extras | Custom POIs | All Categories option and by searching on Village name. Creating a route directly on the sat nav was easy and, in the case of the Garmin, it will even optimise the route for you, if you are happy to go with its decisions! In fact, your County Organiser used it for his Church Tour last year!

Help us to help

We provide thousands of pounds in grants every year to maintain churches throughout Gloucestershire, but we can only do that with your continued support. Please help us continue our vital work.
