Tomorrow is Ride+Stride day and hundreds of churches across the county will be welcoming extra visitors who are helping raise money for the Gloucestershire Historic Churches Trust.
Our online map shows which churches will have a welcome party or refreshments on offer to help you plan your route.
There are lots of other attractions taking place alongside Ride+Stride, for example
St Margaret, Bagendon is holding a churchyard quiz for the young and young-in-heart!
Longhope Baptist Church is holding a buffet lunch from 1pm.
St Peter, Pilning is holding an organ recital at 7:30pm in aid of GHCT; free admission with retiring collection. The organist is Emma Gibbins of St Woolas Cathedral, Newport Gwent. Emma will be including works by CPE Bach, Mozart and Haydn.
St Mary, Prestbury is showing an exhibition of photos and plans of the major interior restoration works which have been recently completed. Tea/coffee available.
St Mary the Virgin, Wotton under Edge is holding Messy Church from 9.30 to 11.30am.
Come early (9.30 to 10) and have breakfast. From 2 to 4.30pm we will be serving tea and cake on the drive (this is a regular Saturday summer fundraiser for the re-refurbishment of the church).
St Mary, Upleadon is holding a cake sale
It’s Kingscote’s Village Fete and a proportion of the profits will be going to GHCT.
St James the Great, Saul is holding a coffee morning and will be welcoming visitors with drinks and chocolate bars all day.
Stage 7 of the Tour of Britain is passing through the county in the afternoon, so look out for other eager cyclists on the road.
We really hope everyone has a wonderful day out and about exploring our region’s amazing churches. Stay safe and have fun!
