Chorley’s chooses GHCT as their Charity of the Year!
We are delighted to announce that Chorley’s has chosen Gloucestershire Churches Trust (GHCT) as their Charity of the Year!
Chorley’s will support GHCT by hosting a series of valuation days across the county at local churches, followed by a major auction. At the auction, vendors will be invited to donate a percentage of their profits to GHCT, a wonderful opportunity to raise funds for the repair, conservation, and upkeep of Gloucestershire’s historic parish church buildings.
What to expect
- Valuation days: Experts from Chorley’s will visit churches across the county to value items brought in by the public. These events are a great chance to learn about antiques, find hidden treasures and raise awareness of our work.
- Auction: Items valued at the event will be auctioned. Those selling items will be invited to donate a portion of their sale proceeds to GHCT, a simple way to support the conservation of Gloucestershire’s church heritage.
- Local benefit: The events will draw attention to church buildings and help generate funds for urgent repairs, accessibility improvements and conservation projects across the county.
