What happens next?
When an application is received, we may need to arrange a meeting with you at your church to discuss your application and view the proposed work. This ensures that when the committee meets, first-hand knowledge can be shared, so that each member of the committee will have a sound understanding of your project and will be able to make an informed decision.
How often and when does the Grants Committee meet?
Twice a year, in June and December.
How long before each meeting do I need to apply?
By the end of April for the June meeting or by the end of October for the December meeting.
When will I know the decision taken at the meeting?
Generally within two weeks.
When will we receive the grant money?
Payment is now made by BACS. You can claim the grant as soon as the project is ready to start. This is explained more fully in the Guidance Notes. Please note that if a grant is not claimed within twelve months it will normally be cancelled.
We’ve had a grant – what do we do now?

Congratulations on a successful application – we hope your project is a great success.

  • Display the grant award notice which we will send you – please put this on your church noticeboard
  • Put a story about the grant in your parish magazine
