Recruitment of New Trustees – Autumn 2026

Could you help us on our mission to support and sustain Gloucestershire’s Historic Churches?

Gloucestershire Historic Churches Trust (GHCT) has an exciting opportunity for up to 3 new Trustees to join our Board and to help strengthen the charity’s reach, impact and strategic development.
These new additional roles present a rare opportunity to help shape support for the preservation, repair and celebration of church buildings across Gloucestershire, Bristol and South Gloucestershire, buildings that sit at the heart of our communities, heritage and shared history.

About GHCT:

For over 40 years, GHCT has supported churches and chapels of all Christian denominations with grants for repairs, conservation and improvements. We work closely with congregations, volunteers, heritage bodies and local communities to ensure these buildings can remain open, safe and vibrant.

GHCT as a membership organisation, is a stable and financially well positioned charity with a broad geographical reach that undertakes a schedule of events and fundraising activities each year to ensure we both engage with communities but also sustain funds for distribution.
