Annual Report 2019

We’re pleased to announce our Annual Report for 2019 has now been published and is available on our website.

In 2019, the Trust provided £152,000 in church maintenance grants for fabric repair and improvements to churches used for Christian worship throughout the historic County of Gloucestershire.

2019 saw significant change at the Trust including the launch of a new web site, the creation of a new communications group to support Trust activity and the recruitment of four new council members.  In addition, the Trust had a record year of fund raising through Ride+Stride with a gross figure of £51,000 of sponsorship received including gift aid.

Change is also coming at the top of the charity where Nick Talbot Rice is stepping down after ten years.  The Trust is pleased to confirm that Colin Senior has volunteered to take over the Chairmanship after the AGM in June.

The corona virus lockdown means that there has never been a more important time to give to the Gloucestershire Historic Churches Trust.  Church maintenance and fabric repairs remain as important and urgent as ever. Wind, rain and sun have not disappeared during the crisis!  To find out more about the Trust visit our website.
