Even in Difficult Times…

With the whole country impacted by the Corona Virus crisis it is sad that churches have now had to close. However, once the current crisis is over, these buildings will still need our care and the Gloucestershire Historic Churches Trust will be ready to help.

In the meantime, please do make sure you heed NHS advice on staying at home, social distancing and hand washing.

Of course, many of you may have to stay at home as you are in at-risk groups. For those in the church community you might want to use this extra time to fill out the forms to get grants towards your local church’s maintenance or renovation project. The next round of applications for grants from the Gloucestershire Historic Churches Trust closes on April 30th so now is an excellent time to download the application form from our website!

Please do send in your grant applications. We intend to assess these on time, even if the grants committee needs to meet remotely and grants will be paid from June 2020.

Finally, you may be wondering what is happening about our main fundraising event – Ride+Stride. We are still hoping this will take place in some form in Gloucestershire on 20th September and we will keep you up to date on whether this will be possible on our website at www.ghct.org.uk/ride-and-stride and via direct communications to you.

Please do look after yourselves at this difficult time.
